YES! We are go on the special feature no.2 and am I ever going to blow your minds with this one!!!

Ladies and gents, we can now get the dial in a sandwich dial, like the Panerais and other high end military watches! That means the lume will not be applied to the numerals but a disk of the stuff will lie underneath the dial and be visible through the carved dial. This looks killer and means unbelievable lume! This is also has never been done on a chrono due to the complexity.

Here is the kicker, I was able to get the sandwich dial without adding any cost at all

Poll is formality, but just in case......

I voted against it, because I have a hard time reconciling a sandwich look on a pilot's chrono. It's not really a pilot's watch at that point. Even so, I think it should have gone on something with a much less busier dial, like the original LE not the current one. It looks good on PAMs and military watches with very simple, clear dials. But on an ultra-busy chrono? I am skeptical. Image I am worried we will have to sacrifice some of the detail in the markings, and I would rather not do that. Not even Panerai does the sandwich thing on their busier dials (or so it seems to me).

So I'll be the stick-in-the-mud here. I dunno....maybe once I see it I'll like it, but I have a hard time envisioning the look.

Sorry to hear that Mofongo, but I assure you it will look sweet.

Overwhelming response in favor of the sandwich as expected

Mods, please close this thread.
