Im still not a fan but the dial looks better than the original. Why does Breitling have to use that Rolex copy look alike bezel?

I really like it. The original Heritage has grown on me massively of late (kind of like Athletes Foot! ), but this chrono version is even nicer. I'm a definite fan.... although I still don't like the mesh bracelet or the Ocean Racer strap. Reckon it'd look fine on leather though.

I must admit, I didn't care for the SOH when I first saw it. But it has grown on me over time -- although only in black. The chrono version, however, I like straightaway. And both the mesh bracelet and the black rubber look good to me.

As for it looking like a Rolex, I can see that -- though the Omega Planet Ocean (black dial, black bezel) is what first came to mind.

Every time I see the SOH I like it a little bit more. The chrono version is a step up. When the SOH first came out I remember a poll just like this one asking what people thought. Nearly everyone hated it. I myself voted in the "Dislike" column. Now, however, it has grown on me. I actually really like the mesh bracelet.

Why do you guys think the opinions have changed? It seems like I'm not the only one.

I guess I am the lone ranger on the dislike side. When I look at that watch I do not see Breitling especially on the original. The only thing that looks nice to me on this one is the sub dials. That bezel just kills it for me. I am also not a fan of the giant arrow hour hand. It all just seems to look "not Breitling". Sorry guys you know what they say about opinions  .

i'm going to have to agree with chance. i'm not a big fan of that broad arrow hour hand and i can't put my finger on it but the watch doesn't look sleek at all and it isnt sexy-clunky like some of the other lings, i.e., skyland, sa. i think its the bezel though, it seems to overpower the dial, which isnt too bad, except for all the writing which makes it look too cluttered, for me at least.

It grows on me. I thought the regular SOH 46 mm was a bit too plain, but with the subdials, it good. If they would make that SOH chrono with a brown dial, I would have to start worry for my bank account again... :)

Chance/rhequest: It's not a Rolex look-a-like, it's just that way the SO looked back then. If you're going to make a heritage watch then it can't look like a new watch or a new skyland. Of course, either you like it or you don't...

Nice looking watch - if it weren't a Breitling. Put any other name on there and it is a good looking piece, it just doesn't look like I imagine a Breitling should look like.

The more I look at it, the more I think I might have to get one! I love the Navi style "retro" push-pieces, and the subdials fill the dial very nicely which is something that I always felt was slightly missing on the relatively empty dial of the original SOH.

And bizarrely I actually like the fact that it's a Breitling while not looking typically modern Breitling-esque!

(Wonder how much it's gonna be though :? If the original SOH is anything to go by it'll be hideously over-priced)

I don't like it - I'm sorry...it's just too ordinary IMHO

Exactly - Breitling's shouldn't be understated 'normal' looking watches

I voted dislike.

I'm not a fan of this piece at all. If I wanted a chronograph diving watch, there are several other choices, with better looking bracelets in the B-ling family.

Looks too much like a Rolex, and I would much rather own a Submariner/GMT/Daytona than this particular SuperOcean.
