Hello All,
Sometimes it is better to have a dream and to never achieve it. This is the case with my Patek. Whilst my Patek Philippe 5107 is everything I could want in terms of status, class and refinement..... the Patek forums leave alot to be desired.

The timezone forum with William Messena is horrible. I posted a nice entry posting and god forbid.... they removed it! I have no idea why! I think the forum does not realise what the mods are doing over there! I think Nazi German may have had more freedom.

The Watchprosite site is better... but no real friendship over there....

I really miss the members here. I never realised how good I had it here till it was too late.

Now the real problem is deciding what Breitling piece I should purchase! I saw a really great Cosmonaut at BVW in Brisbane.... preowned piece in really nice condition. Ronnie is such a nice watch dealer! Great store!

Not really sure if I should keep the Patek or Trade it for a SUPER DUPER Gold Breitling!

Opinions please!

I think this one is for you...

Priced right at just $27,000.00 but rumored to be worth much more, It's made genuine stainless steel.
This watch commemorates the DEATH of a Chinese leader.

This should be the one for you. If you pose in some Hilton hotel lounge some suckers may actually believe you own the car and than you can put another nudge on the "fooled them I am rich"-board.

He’s back!!!!!

Archie loves the attention he gets here either positive or negative!!! Let’s face it Archie is a used car sales man! Moreover, a Con Man in every sense of the word within the Australian context - a Melbourne magician, con artist, entertainer and stand up comedian.

Archie thinks he is a magician constantly disappearing and attempting to reappear as someone he is not. He constantly tries to con others and himself as to he is. Archie is certainly entertaining you have to give him that! Moreover, he is funny the only difference is that he doesn’t realize we are laughing at him!

Best Regards,

Enezdez

Welcome back Archie.

Call me odd, but personally I kind of like reading his posts. I'm 99.9999% convinced he always posts with his tongue firmly in his cheek, so that's how I take them, and as a result I find it pretty entertaining.

All I would say is that if Archie's posts bug you in some way, just ignore them and don't reply. We don't ban people just for being "different", so until any rules are contravened Archie is free to hang out (so to speak ) and give us his unique view of the world.

Personally I think we've had some way more destructive individuals on here than The Arch.

I'm highly entertained as well. I called him out at first, but now...I just make some metaphorical popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming. 8)

Archie - I'm glad you can make your decision on what watch to buy based on what forum you like best. So will you then sell this Breitling you may buy before your next class reunion and buy something without those crummy ETA movements you talked about in your other thread, just to impress your old friends?

:yeahthat

I really can't figure out why people take Archie's posts so seriously.

Glad to see you made it back Archie. Some of us were really worried there for a while. Hope you find a new Ling and can enjoy it sensibly.

Welcome back Archie. Patek collectors probably can't handle you.

In the future, however, please refrain from slamming other forums here. Its considered bad etiquette.
