My first topic !!
So I'm looking for the best place to buy my Breitling in the world. I'll be in Hong Kong next week, is it a good place ? Any chance to get a big discount ?

It may be helpful if you update your profile so that we know where you live. This is an international forum.

The exchange rate would really factor in as to how good of a deal you could get when traveling. Right now, me, as an American, would really get hammered if I were to buy a watch anywhere other than Nigeria (and I hear you can get some good deals there). I shall contact my good best friend, Mr. Dr. Peter Oganishbuhertz who just recently sent me a letter telling me that I have $10,000,000.00 (TEN MILLION DOLLARS US) in a bank account there for me if I can help him with a minor tax matter. We are working out the details.

OK, I keed. :poke:

Seriously, list your location.

Michael

I was at a local dealer this morning and he said his business is booming with Europeans buying all Swiss brands here in the states due to the exchange rate. The suggestion to check exchange rates is a good one, but without knowing where you live, it's difficult to make recommendations.

First, :welcome: Enjoy your time here!

Here's a recent discussion on discounts

http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11380&p=91801

About 30% usually seems the top discount offered unless you're a regular customer. Maybe slightly less for the most popular models, maybe more for the least popular.

A lot depends upon exchange rates and of course, you have to declare your purchase at customs on your return and pay the tax/duty
