Hey guys! New on this forum, but am a regular on The Watch Forum.

Anyway I'm keen to get myself an Aviastar and wondered if anyone could tell me how much a decent one would be, i.e. form a forum not rip off bay?

I am new to this forum, but a long time fan of Breitling watches. As I type, I am wearing an Aviastar that I purchased in London in 1998, the last year they were made. I had it completely serviced by Breitling in 2008 (Crystal, hands, crown crown steel and crown steel tube, complete service kit, all gaskets, movement adjustment, click spring, O rings, etc.) and I have placed it on a brown Breitling strap, which I think looks snappy (if unusual for a black dial). I love the watch for its weight and depth, but also because it is rare. I often have fellow Breitling owners spy it and ask what it is and where I acquired it. Nice way to meet fellow enthusiasts! I have all the original receipts, the bakelite box and service receipts. I am offering this for sale becasue my boat needs a new mainsail. If anyone is interested, feel free to make me an offer at buchanan_group@yahoo.com. It will only be sold to a gentleman (or gentlewoman), and I hope it is someone who appreciates a rarity.

If it's a croco strap then it would definitely look snappy

If you post a for sale ad in the buy and sell section you will get more eyes.

All the details there about what's needed to comply with the rules.

There are two on Chrono24 - http://www.chrono24.com/en/search/index ... TERIAL_ID=

Bear in mind that is the asking price, not necessarily the selling price!
