I have allways wanted a Seamaster and thought this looked ok, but having been scammed once before when buying one i just wondered if you watch expertscould give me an opinion. I have asked the seller to send me a pic of the serial plus the warranty card close up. Looking at it, it seems to me that the serial he states is different to the one on the card i can see. Unless i am not looking at the right number.

I hate pictures like that

Ask for some close up pictures that includes a paper in the background showing the date, the serial numbers on the watch has to match the papers. Better still PM me your budget and I will keep an eye out for you. Oh and get an automatic

In a way poor quality pics can be an advantage, as I think they can put other people off, I got my Navi for less than I expected to pay for it and I think part of the reason was the poor quality pics on ebay.

It also allows you to get into an email conversation with the seller and gives you more information to decide what your own auction limit is for this particular watch.

So as Taffy says ask for more pics and if you can get more details when purchased, where from, reason for selling etc, etc.

I've asked for that info and so far i have not received anything back other than a mail to ask if i wanted some more pics. Which was actually what i asked for. So unless i get some more i wont be risking bidding on this. I bought one 2 years ago for over £500 which was a fake and i am not risking it again.
