I have thought about it. Around here, the only places I know that would handle a used watch would be a pawn shop. I know of a place about 3 hours from here, but they specialize in Rolexes. Besides, I believe my asking price is retail, and any shop would give me wholesale for it (I'm guessing maybe $1500?) and I'd hate to take that kind of beating.

But I should drop by my AD and see what he suggests. Good idea, thanks!

Michael

My guess is that if you modify your price here to $50 more than the jeweller offers it will walk out the door and be seen as way too cheap.

That's not meant to imply that your watch is expensive right now, I mean that the jeweller will likely offer you very little.

Definitely no harm in asking though.

It's a really nice watch and a great price. Again, the size issue is a factor at i think 38mm? Also, it is on a leather strap with a tang buckle. I think more people would desire the smaller watch on a braclet. I'm sure someone will bite eventually. Have you considered selling it to a jewlers?

Yeah this watch would look much nicer on the good old Navi SS bracelet, would make it look a tad bigger as well

Hey, if you are not in a hurry, hold out for a while on the price. It's a great looking watch, and you have told all about the servicing, repair etc. so people know exactly what they are getting.
Not everyone is looking for a big watch. At my AD the other day, we were just discussing that more people are going back to the smaller watches. My wrist is about 7.25 in. and two of my watches are 36mm. They look great! If I was in the market for that type of watch, I would not hesitate to consider yours.
The market seems to be patchy. My AD has been incredibly busy lately. Every time I go in there, regardless of day of week or time of day, they seem to be busy with customers.
Good luck on the sale!
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks everyone for their help and advice. I did finally sell the watch on the 'bay yesterday for my asking price ($2300). The buyer didn't say that the new pictures pushed him over the edge, but I'm sure they did. :) But your support here also kept me from lowering the price, which means that I sold it for about what I paid for it, which is always good!

Thanks again,
Michael
