Hello

I have a problem with my recently purchased Pilot bracelet. It is a genuine item that I bought 2nd hand off ebay. Problem is that the endlinks doesn't match my Cockpit luggs. Does anyone know if its possible to change the endlinks?

thanks
Dennis

Hmmmm tricky one. The problem you may have is that not all cases that the pilot bracelet (or indeed any bracelet) is fitted to are the same size and profile. Hence while your pilot bracelet may have the correct width for the lugs of the cockpit, it may be designed to fit the case of a different watch.

I don't own a watch on the pilot bracelet, but if it is anything like the Navitimer bracelet I have on my World, then the end piece detaches when you take the spring bar out, so assuming you could get hold of the correct end piece (and that is a BIG assumption) then you should be OK. However I've never seen end links for sale, but that's not to say your AD couldn't perhaps get hold of it.

However, if the end link is permanently fixed to the bracelet, then you may be out of luck altogether.

Hope you can get it sorted.

Thanks!
I'll keep browsing the web for more info, will also give a call to an AD.

By the way, the end pieces seems to be detachable as they are fitted with a pin, not a screw though. Question is if its's possible to remove them without spoiling the bracelet, and if so are the pieces are sold separately.

thanks again

Is the endlinks at least the same width? I talked to a guy that said his AD was able to order those parts individually.. I suppose a properly trained watchmaker would be able to order the parts and change them. When I called my AD they said that there was no listing for the endlink part.

By the way, would it be possible to get the contact details to the AD who's able to order, just in case?

thanks
Dennis

I had another discussion with my local AD, and he assured me that Breitling would never change the end-pieces, e.g. modify the bracelet.
However, he told me that they would repar a broken end-piece, meaning it is possible to remove and replace the pieces.

Does anyone know an AD willing to work for my case?

Any help leading to a solution highly appreciated...
