Guys and gals..great post. Can you submit phone numbers of your Breitling contacts? It seems that the only way to truly authenticate is to send a watch into Breitling USA. AD seem not to get to good fakes. Is there a phone number in the USA or Switzerland that one can call with serial numbers to at least get an idea of authenticity? Thanks.

That would be correct. I called the (203) number and they indicated that they will not even review the serial number over the phone anymore. No information on the watches can be obtained anymore. I believe that is a recent change in policy. It is unfortunate and does not really help the person who wants to authenticate prior to purchase of a used watch. You need to send the watch in and wait for a minimum 2 week turnover.. Right now there is no charge for the service. I found all this out today. Anyone else have any ideas?

Hello everyone.... Wanted to update my status... I have purchased a Chrono Evolution with MOP face... It is beautiful, and best of all, there is no question on the authenticity!

Again, I am grateful for everyone's assistance!

I voted "online". I guess you could add "Grey" market as well. You can purchase from them direcrtly, it doesn't need to always be via the internet.

Did the watch you purchaed come with all the appropriate box and papers? I will not buy a watch withoout them. It takes out most of the fakes.
