This looks like a replica to me, and a poor one at that. At least so far no one has fallen for this joke and placed a bid. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Breitling-For- ... 3762712417

713071 is a common fake serial.

Yeah I'm not very familiar with the Bentley collection either, but I know that the first letter A in the reference number denotes stainless steel. So that's the first of many red flags on this one.

I gave up reporting fake watches to ebay a long time ago. They never do anything about it. At least not to the fakes that I reported, and then they get "sold" for a not insignificant amount.
Ebay is full of listings of fake straps and buckles too.

I actually did report it to ebay, I thought I was doing everyone a favor, but like you said they did absolutely nothing and let it sell.

Ofc, they don't want to loose a fee.
There was time, around a decade ago when they were actually taking down listings when they were reported by some of us from the BS forums.

I stopped reporting these things years ago because it became a futile effort. Now that eBay has that verification service thing hopefully the ones that sell over 2k get found, but it won't help with the sub 2k watches

Yes hopefully it'll be a good thing, but I can't help wondering who's doing the verification. Lots of watch sales, lots of different brands, "super-clones", etc.... I'd like to know who they have to be authorities on literally every prestige brand. Also, I'm not sure I'd want some generic "watch person" cracking open an expensive watch I'd just bought, especially something like a diver where gaskets could be compromised. I'll never buy a prestige watch from eBay again, unless I factor in an immediate service to make sure eBay's "experts" haven't done anything untoward.

I agree with you on that. Logistically I don't understand how they can possibly have experts to review that many watches from that many brands and to know the intricate details that differentiate some of those super fakes from the real. I haven't bought a watch on eBay in quite a while and I don't think I will either. I don't like the idea of random people opening up my watch without me knowing what level of knowledge and expertise they have.

Yeah nowadays I only feel safe buying from sellers on eBay with 100% positive feedback, even one negative out of a thousand transactions is too many. My '03 Chronomat B13352 I bought last year came with the original box, papers, and warranty card. It was one of the big Japanese sellers but they had 100% positive, an evaluation with a rating A, B, etc. plus timekeeping accuracy which I tested and coincided with the listing. I'd much rather authenticate it myself using this forum and a jeweler I trust. Like natesen said, I'm not confident that their authenticators are competent enough to spot any and all fakes of every high end timepiece ever produced.
