Purchased this Superocean 44 on Amazon for $2500... was shipped from Hong Kong... Brought it to a local Breitling AD and they said they believe the exterior is genuine Breitling, but would not open the back... Here are pictures of the movement... Can anyone tell me for sure if this is a actual Breitling B17 or just a good HK fake? Thanks

Never ever this is a real B17! Surely it may be a gen standard grade eta 2824 with a Breitling engraved rotor. But until now I never haven‘t seen a fully undecorated movement in a Breitling watch!
Please provide some more pics from the watch to clarify.

I'd say real for sure, the movement looks authentic and has the right #'s along with the ETA logo.

This is a cheap standard grade eta 2824 without any perlage. A B17 should be highly decorated and look like this:

Also note the poorly mounted movement tabs on the OP‘s pic and the missing COSC-number which normaly is engraved on every Breitling movement bridge.
I‘d say someone ripped off the gen movement and dropped a cheap eta in or it is s fake with gen eta. The so called high end fakes provide a fully perlaged eta clone which look better than this standard grade.

Edit:
Here‘s another shot of a real B17 mounted in a SO44. Note the above mentioned differences compared to the OP‘s watch:

Thanks for all the help! Again, the Breitling AD thought the exterior and face was genuine Breitling... Looks like they inserted a cheap movement and tried to pass it off as a real watch... Thank goodness Amazon refunded all my money...

Wow, yeah now that I take a closer look and compare the two photos, I'd agree with the above reply that someone most likely removed the authentic Breitling movement and replaced it with either a generic or replica ETA movement. Now that I think about it, it also seems strange that the numbers and logo appear to me, to be printed. Shouldn't they be stamped into the metal?

Newer etas have got laser engravings which look like to be printed. So this might be o. k. for a new eta movement.

I see, that's good to know. The 2892-2 in my mid '90's Chrono Cockpit, and 7750 in my '01 Chronomat are both stamped. So I figured all Breitling movements are supposed to be stamped. Like it's one of their defining characteristics that's difficult to reproduce and fakers don't usually bother with.
