Hello,

I have been a Navitimer admirer for a long time, and finally I am thinking of buying one. It will be my first "proper" watch.

I found a used Old Navitimer II (A13322), which looks very nice.
Before I shell out a lot of money, I wanted to ask for expert advice if it's real or fake. Are the 2 photos below enough to identify it?

And I have one more question too: do you think this model would be a good entry into the Navitimer and watch world? Or should I rather be looking at newer models?

Thank you!

It looks OK, but I would want to see more and better quality photos, and to know if that box set also comes with original papers.

What drew you to this watch in particular - price, dial layout, indices, movement, etc? The answer to that will help me provide a better response.

Thank you for the quick reply, arcadelt!

Based on your partial confirmation, I just bought it, because I was worried that someone else would do so if I don't act :)
It was listed on a Japanese online auction site, and the price was about 2600 USD. I will upload some proper photos when I get it (in about 1.5 weeks).
If there are problems, I should be able to return it.

Mainly aesthetics. I like the classic Navitimer look, the winged logo, the black dial with white subdials, and the 41mm size (not too big). I don't have a preference from the 6-9-12 and 3-6-9 layouts; I like both. I also read that this model's movement is reliable, and less importantly for me that it also has quick date set and COSC certification.
I am just not sure if there are any risks with this older model that I'm unaware of, and if the newer models have any significant advantages.

The watch is real. Congrats on the pick up. Sounds like you made the right decision based on the reasons why you like it. Enjoy!!

If you have any details to share related to my question

I'd be interested to hear them, just to be more informed.
