Hi everyone, I believe a fake just sold on eBay as a "buy it now" for $3,475: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Breitling-Navitimer-ABO12012-BBO13139219-/111719038896?autorefresh=true&hash=item1a02f93fb0&nma=true&si=5iUpHOMayzhnj0OtwjVQTsDFyFs%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 The application of the gold on the Breitling logo just looks a bit off; it doesn't seem to have the same texture and appearance as the genuine 01s. The real 01s seem to have a subtle color variation between the raised portions and the flat portions, while the gold application on this watch looks like it's the same color throughout. Maybe it's just the lighting? I also noticed something strange about the paperwork: the instruction manual says "limited edition" even though it's not a LE piece (at least not to my knowledge). Also, the "slide rule instructions" booklet seems to be taken from an older Navi paperwork set (most likely A23322), while the warranty maintenance booklet, digital warranty, and instruction manual are from a newer AB0120 set. Anybody else see anything peculiar? |
