Hi guys, I'm new to Breitling but have owned various Rolex and Omega's and am a long time member of TRF. Can you guys tell me if this Navi 01 is real? Aside from pictures, I will be buying it in person in three days so I want to know if there is any way to tell a genuine Navi 01 through its functions. The 01 movement has second hack function and quickset date, do you guys know if any of the fakes have this feature? I'm hoping that by checking for these two features I can be assured that it's real (I've searched the form intensively but found no info on fakes having these functions). Thank you in advance for any help!!! Attachment: Nav 1.jpg Attachment: Nav 2.jpg Attachment: Nav 3.jpg Attachment: Nav 4.jpg Attachment: Nav 5.jpg

Real. The fake version of this model uses a a clone on the Valjoux 7750 movement with the minute totaliser subdial moved from 12 to 3 o'clock. Consequently, the date display is sunken and the subdials are slightly too far apart. Here is an example of the fake Navi 01 : http://forums.watchuseek.com/f260/fake- ... 98618.html |

Thank you for the quick response. What about movement features? Will any fakes have a quick set date or hacking second hand? I'm imagining they will not, and if that's the case, then that will be the ultimate way to tell when I handle the watch in person. |

The fakes will probably have the hacking and quick set date function (although I understand the B01 movement has a more advanced date change mechanism that avoids gear teeth damage when quicksetting date at the midnight transition) So, the only way to verify the watch is to check that the subdial spacing is correct and date display is flush to the window |

Thank you very much for your feedback, I really do appreciate it. Has anyone handled a fake navi 01 and can confirm if it does indeed have a hacking second hand and quickset date? |

The hacking and quickset is not a helpful or reliable way of authenticating this model. Check the subdial spacing and lack of sunken date wheel instead. Note the gap between the subdials and the main dial seconds scale on the genuine you posted, they are almost touching in the fake in my link. |
