Hello all,

I am looking to purchase my first Breitling and I found one I really liked. It's an Old Navitimer (A13019).

Here are some pictures of it.

The seller says it's a 1998. I would really appreciate your expert opinions on how original or are there any glaring issues with this watch.

Thank you!

Kenny

Welcome to BreitlingSource. Watch is real, with a piece of this age you want to know the service history and if there isn't one assume the watch needs a service for $600 - $700 which needs to be factored into the price.

Sorry for posting at the wrong forum. I will check on the service history with the seller.

Thanks again!

Well.. I think this one fell through.

I found another similar one. It's called the Navitimer "Football" - some sort of special edition. It looks like it's the same watch as the Old Navitimer II.

Here are couple of fuzzy pictures.

The info on this limited edition Navitimer so I am once again asking for assistance. Does anything look off?

Thank you,

Kenny

Right.. it is a different one from the original post. I have learned this is one of many special edition watches.

I ID'd this watch on the Breitling special edition web page. (Navitimer FOOTBALL "old navitimer " from 1994)

The only difference I can tell is the second hand is red on this watch and it's blue on the Breitling website.

Thanks again Roffensian!

EDIT: I found a picture of the navitimer football with the red tip second hand. I think I am good to go! Thanks!

She's home now. :)

Thank you Roffensian!

Edit:

Well, I was told I should share the story how I acquired this watch.

I found this watch online. It's a 1994 Breitling Navitimer Football in a watch store in Italy.

I am very hesitant buying big ticket items online from a foreign country. On top of that most sellers only accept bank transfer. Which leaves me with zero protection.

I called the store and asked if anyone speaks English. I got the store owner.

We started chatting and he asked where I am located.

"Maryland"

"Do you know Silver Spring?"

"Yeah, I am about 20 minutes away"

"Well, my wife is going to be in Silver Spring visiting her mother next week. She will bring the watch to you!"

Talking about having your stars aligned!

I just met up with her and brought my first Breitling home. It came with everything - the box/pillow, warranty card with matching serial number.. The straps are worn but the body and the crystal are flawless.

It has been a great day! :lingsrock:
