Post subject:  Quick question for you guys

I got this watch as a gift yesterday, came with a GAI authenticity for watch and diamonds, so I would imagine its real. But the crown won't screw down and it seems stripped so my wife is sending it back to be fixed. As soon I noticed that I started looking over it more closely.

The small second hand throws me off. I have never seen one without the "nub" on the back like the other hands. Here is a pic of the face.

I thought it was just the model, but I cant find any other white face models that have that small second hand that looks that. They all look like this..

(I used the leather band/white face as a reference because that's closest to the watch I have)

Is this normal?

I hope it has a GIA certificate rather than a GAI certificate (and I hope you didn't buy from Loucri). The diamonds are not factory original so can't possibly comment on those, the running seconds hand is wrong, and I would like to see a better focused shot of the dial, I'm not convinced it's real.

Did you get papers with it, and what's the serial number on the back?

No papers, it is a GAI Cert. and I have papers for other items, this cert didn't look really legit. The model # on the back is the same as my other super avenger A13370.

Why did you say Loucri? According to her that's where it came from... how worried should I be?

Very....... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=56864

I would get out of it as quickly as possible, doubt the diamonds are real with a fake certificate at the very least. Model number isn't much help, serial number may be if it's a known fake. I don't like the date font and can't see other details well enough, but if it's from Loucri and has a fake diamond certificate then really not much else needed as far as I'm concerned.

I had a look at Loucri's Breitling inventory and they seem to specialise in iced-out Lings. I'd class this one below as a Franken/fake. The dial is definitely 'aftermarket' as the hour and minute totalisers are wrong for a ref x25362.

These are HDR shots, but I think imgur takes away some of the quality, if you click them it should zoom a bit.

Serial # 2502949

I have an SA from an AD, its a lot easier to read the serial numbers on my other one than this one. I found them on the other watch because I didn't think this one had numbers, if I wouldn't have seen where they were on my good SA, would have never found them on this...

Franken watch is exactly what I thought when I saw that running second hand.

Serial number isn't a known fake, but that's a minor saving grace on this one. Definitely try and get out of it.

Paypal dispute is open, hopefully it works out.

So is the dispute with the wife about buying watches off the internet...

Loucri seem to be really bad seller. Whether they are knowingly selling fakes or just unsure themselves, the fact that they provide diamond authentication certificates from a company that certifies whatever their clients tell them to is plain wrong. I almost dropped $7,000 on one but luckily managed to avoid it.
