Hi guys, i want to buy a watch as a present for my dad.. and while browsing on my local classifieds website(im not from the US), I found something that from my short research is a Crosswind Racing with an UTC module on a leather strap. ![]() ![]() gonna call the guy tomorrow to see if he has some papers so i can make sure that this watch is authentic. what do you guys think? it looks to be in decent shape and i think its a very cool watch.(my dad likes Breitling but he wouldnt spend that much on himself.) what is normal price for this watch? i want to make sure im not getting ripped off as im not very knowledgeable about Breitlings Thank you very much, Roy |

Welcome aboard. Those pictures are VERY small on my screen, but older models like that were never faked very well. It's genuine. |

Thanks for the bigger pictures - Definitely real. Price estimates are not something I and a few others here go in for as there are so many variables to consider. Your best bet is to check out completed listing on eBay to get an idea of what watched actually go for, and current listings to see what people are asking. The two are rarely the same(!), but they give you a ballpark figure. |

Its real but not a Crosswind Racing. Its a Chronomat model, ref D13048 |

I agree. Should actually say "Crosswind" on the dial. ![]() As to price? Depends on whether it has papers, condition and service history. You can find older Chronomats for sale for under 2k, sometimes well under. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=389469 http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t= ... sg_6940254 |

Chronomat, not Crosswind Greg. |

Eh? Not sure I get what you're saying, Roff. I was agreeing that it's a chronomat, not a CWR and if it was a crosswind it ought to have it on the dial. Chronomats similar to the one he references are on my links. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
