I have bought this evolution a while back and sent it to a local watchmaker for service. upon his inspection he said the movement is authentic breitling 7750 movement ( which he said was normal). he went on saying that the dial tho he wasnt sure and for me to get checked out..

so here goes is this watch 100% authentic or is a frankenwatch.. thk you in advance

Dial is fake (its missing the 11 mark on the top subdial, one of the telltales for a fake chronomat) e , i assume case and movement are as well

Btw, i see a croc like strap , if it says 'cuir' on the inside instead of 'croc' thats fake as well
Another telltale for a fake chronomat

Highly doubt that the movement is genuine Breitling either.

after closer inspection on a bigger screen

Lume dot is not original either , so the bezel , and I assume the complete case , if fake

I have to agree with Roff that the movement is probably fake as well

conclusion
fake Chronomat

Agreed. To be honest even an experienced watchmaker would struggle to tell if a decently finished stock 7750 was genuine Breitling or not without fully dismantling it. Plus on balance of probablity it'd be highly unlikely to find a gen movement in a fake case with a fake dial.

On balance I agree with the guys that it's highly likely to be a fully fake Chronomat.

Interesting post. Sorry to hear about you getting a fake. I must admit I have been flipping back and forth between the fake and the authentic watch and I am having trouble spotting the differences.
