Post subject:  Need Help Identifying this Breitling Navitimer

Hello all,

New here but I purchased a Breitling Navitimer off a friend a few months back and wanted to verify its authenticity. He's a good friend of mine, so I have a pretty good idea that it's legit but wanted to consult you all just in case.

I'll attach the pictures on here for you to take a look at. The serial numbers match the warranty certificate etc. but I blurred them out anyways. Also, could you tell me exactly what kind of watch this is?

Thanks!

Is it a replica, or do you think it's legitimate?

you stated that the numbers match up with the paperwork, that would make it real
right now I cant see that for myself as the numbers are erased (why?)

They do match up but I don't know how easy it is to doctor that paperwork, just wanted to be thorough since this is my first pricey watch. I blurred them out because I've seen others do it, I guess to prevent replica makers from stealing your serial #? I don't know, better safe than sorry.

The only reason I thought it may be a replica is I bought a watch winder (granted it is cheap), and it doesn't keep my watch wound properly. Sometimes I'll walk by and see it spinning, but the second hand won't be ticking.

The watch is real.

When you say that the second hand isn't ticking which second hand - the running seconds or chrono seconds (central one)? Chrono seconds only runs with the chronograph.

Also, you have to make sure that the winder is set correctly, this may help - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23867

Yeah I'm looking at the running seconds on the circle on the left. I will take a look at that topic, I appreciate it because it really bothers me having to adjust it everytime I want to wear it because I don't wear it too often.

Thank you all for verifying it as well.
