Greetings from New York! We recently purchased this watch. I know that the diamond bezel is after market, but I was curious if someone could tell me if the lack of Breitling "plaque" should be a red flag. It "feels" real and everything else looks good to me as I handle these watches pretty regularly...We got a great deal because I know the person who sold it to us, but obviously you can never be too careful!! I was also wondering if anyone could tell me the year of this watch/any more information you might be able to provide based on the pictures? The receipt says it was purchased in 2012, but I'm curious if it was manufactured before that and if so if someone could tell me when? Serial: 2063574 The watch came with a receipt from Raymond Lee Jewelers in Florida and booklets/box...but no official Breitling paperwork specific to this watch. I am attaching pictures (I am a jewelry photographer, hence the quality). If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am sure that someone can. Roff will probably move your post to the appropriate area since this piece is not a vintage item. Good Luck, Wayne |

Its definitely real. Not vintage though. There is a production code between the bottom lugs if u remove the bracelet. First two numbers will be the week, 2nd two numbers will be the year. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |

This dude is real as the day is long. Production of this model was 2005-2007. With this dial I would put it at the later part of the run. The bling bezel does not add value to these in most cases as original bezel is desired. Might think of picking one up even if you don't have installed in case you sell down the road it will help. Despite the aftermarket bezel and unusual Mother of Pearl dial, this looks okay in that it has a proper seconds hand, date wheel, unique serial number, etc |

Thank you to all. I am used to seeing the MOP dial with the concentric circles...that is why this one looked so strange to me...I will definitely take the band off to inspect the numbers to determine the specific age. Thanks for much for that tip! I didn't know the Breitlings had that between the case lugs like the Rolexes. I'm usually not a fan of these blinged out Breitlings, but my boyfriend fell in love with it for some reason! I feel like the Breitlings are really hot in my area right now. We got stopped like 3 times last night when he was wearing it already. He's always wanted a Breitling, so I'm happy I was able to find him something he likes. Can anyone recommend a reputable source to obtain a regular bezel/tachymeter ring (I think that's what was replaced)? It would be nice to have...It always amazes me when people don't keep the original parts when they replace them. |

An Breitling authorized dealer can get these parts for you. Should not be a problem at all. Just talked to my friend at Breitling here in my town at that bezel is a aftermarket for sure. Wayne |

The numbers on the band can help date it as well. Keep in mind bands can be changed. I believe it shows 1505. 15th week of 2005. |

MOP dial is not Breitling, it's aftermarket also. Other parts look ok to me. |

bnewbie wrote: MOP dial is not Breitling, it's aftermarket also. Other parts look ok to me. Bnewbie is 100% correct - the dial is fake. The top gen fake is so good there is no way to distinguish the case, however I'm 99% sure that the bracelet is genuine, which suggests the case is as well. The best case scenario is you have an altered/modified Breitling with an after-market bezel and a fake dial (I'm reticent to use the word "after-market" for a dial - it's simply fake). After-market diamond bezels for some Breitlings, like Evos, are a common modification, but that dial is not - it has every tell, save for one, of a Chinese fake Evo dial. And in that condition it ought not be offered for sale as a genuine Breitling even if it has a genuine caliber 13 beating inside. Sorry. |

And the answer to when it was made, if genuine, is he date code between the 6:00 lugs. You have to remove that side of the bracelet and there is a 4 digit code - first 2 numbers are the week of year, last 2 the year. So, 2307 was made in the 27th week of 2007. |

So, money not being an issue, what would be the best thing to do with this watch? He LOVES it the way it is. Should I just leave it? We're the kind of people that love getting a good deal, but it's also very important to us that our items are authentic. The first thing I did when I got my Rolex was open it up...I'm going to test the diamonds with a diamond pen when I get home because now I'm paranoid haha. Should I bring it to Breitling in the city or should I just bring it to an authorized dealer? If the dial is fake (I trust you), then I would like to replace it with something genuine. |

Not that unusual for dials to be replaced with 'aftermarket' when the diamond customization is done, but the problem that you may have now is that Breitling may refuse to touch it. At best you are going to be looking at a pricey service to get it restored and it's going to need an estimate from Breitling service for that cost. The problem is that if the movement is fake then Breitling will likely refuse to return the watch to you. |
