Just received this from e-bay - and I'm not convinced it's real. Another of these 'good but not great fakes'? I'd welcome opinions before I send it back to the seller.

looks fake to me - is it croc ? u should be able to tell the difference immediately if it is "croc-grain" or the real deal ? |

Fake for me - the misaligned 'Manufacture en' and 'Suisse' seems to be the giveaway. No reason to believe that the deployant is real if the strap is fake. |

Here's a couple pics of a real one that just came with my transocean unitime. I purchased a fake once on eBay, I knew as soon as I felt it and smelled it, got full refund from seller

Thanks guys. Seller didn't seem surprised when I asked to send it back. He advises that he only recently bought it as genuine, and will go back to the seller. Wonder if it's our Dutch friend again? Cheers Mike |

Update: The seller confirms that he got this from 'super_joopp' in the Netherlands, so our devious dutchman at it again. To be fair to the guy who sold the strap to me, he's agreed to refund, and no doubt will open a case against the faker to get his money back. Mike |

I noticed the rubber pro diver straps he sold earlier, have a seam running along the length of the side of the strap, which isn't present on the genuine ones. |
