I'm a long time reader but just joined since I need help with a new purchase. I have owed a E13360 for about 7 years; now that I am out of the military, i have been looking for my second Breitling.

About a week ago there was a Groupon for 4 Breitling models. I wasn't crazy about buying from them but with their free 14 day returns I figured why not. I ordered the Montbrilliant (BTA2133012-G518SS) for USD 5,769.99 plus local tax. It arrived today and would like the forums help to see if it is real and if a good price.

I'm not an expert and to me everything looked legit. The only two concerns were a) the serial number on the certificate is on a label (my E13360 was in a grey box), b) there was no warranty documentation.

I have linked some photos, please tell me what you think.

Bill

It's real. The lack of a warranty probably means that it was sold grey market (i.e. not an AD.)

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thank you very much.

Does anyone know if the price I paid is worth not having a warranty; would it be better to go through an AD?

That price is probably a bit lower than you would get from an AD on bracelet, but not dramatically so. Personally a sponsor AD and a warranty would be more appealing.

There are a couple AD here in Chicago, I will visit them this week. Thanks for the info.

Hi there, have the same watch, just a different dial -beautiful piece!!!!

Saving money on the grey market only really matters if you intend to on-sell the watch in the first 2 years (warranty period). If you bought the watch to keep, the warranty usually doesn't mean that much. After all, Breitling does have their quality control under control.

I say enjoy & wear with pride, you've earned it!

I think that a browse through the threads here would suggest that is far from accurate!!!!!
