I don't do pricing. FAQs recommend checking completed sales on eBay (the green numbers that actually sold) and dealer asking prices on Chrono24, remembering that those are asking prices. You can also check previous sales on the forums.

That one went for more than I can afford.
I have been told that I should be able to get a used Breitling for under £500 but it looks like I might be asking a lot on here - I am concerned I might become a pain. I do't want to do that, the advice I have had here is stunning.
I will continue to ask what are probably very basic questions and hope to receive the stunning advice I have done so far.
If I get to be a pain can someone please IM me and let me know? In would hate to outstay my welcome.
Thank you all.

OK speaking as a fellow brit and a Aerospace lover having bought 11 or 12 of them and just awaiting arrival of a new one as we speak.

Let me assure you there are no decent fakes of the aerospace so if it has a single crown then its real all the fakes have buttons on the side, As far as prices go you would struggle now to get one for under £500 as recently two non workers went for £393 and £350 so you will pay upwards of £600 if you want one now as prices seam to have risen within the last few years. Can I just ask is it the brand you are after or the look and functions of the watch, You may be able to get a Old Colt Quartz for around £500 but prices seam to have gone up on the whole of the range as I think people are trying to but up the older ones as they cant afford the newer ones, You may also look for a Pluton/Intruder/Navi 3100 as you might just pick up one of those for your budget.

I said that you could easily get 3 hands from the 50s from under GBP500 - you weren't looking at Aerospace at that point!

To be fair Roff a few years ago you could get A used aerospace for under £500 but now you cant the prices seam to have risen lately it may be people buying them up for the movements as BUK or BUSA are saying they can no longer repair them on some models.

Agreed, but he asked me yesterday, not a few years ago!

From the modern (post '84) Breitling GBP500 isn't going to get you much anymore. Maybe some of the less appealing early quartz simply because no one wants the risk of them failing and a banged up / never serviced mechanical.

sonyman is right about pricing. Its a bit strange that used Aerospaces seem to hold there value well, plateauing around the £1000/$1500 price.

B undertake to support their quartz movements for at least 20 yrs after they ceased to be used. The E65062 has the B65 movement in it which was used until 2000. So it's fine until at least 2020. In some cases, if a later quartz movement will fit, they can drop that in instead.
