Hi,

What do you guys think about this watch? Is it authentic? I have been looking at these watches for some time and have never seen a Chronomat Evolution with a black dial and black subs? Also, the price seems a little too good to be true.

Thanks in advance!

That reference number matches that watch, but the photo is stock, not actually of the piece that they are selling.

Hmm, but is ordering from this website legit? Their prices seem awfully low.

Because they are grey market.

Right, but even for grey market it seems to good to be true. And it's a little suspicious that they will only accept a wire to wire transfer.

Some businesses believe wire services are still the best form of transaction. What century they live in is anyone’s guess, but its blind faith in reputations from 30 years ago. Things have moved on a bit since then.

I would be concerned, but only because they have a few in store and are using a stock photo to display it in the ad. Not a real pic and not the most flattering angle either.

If you can't get a real picture out of them and you are still keen to buy, perhaps you need to review their money back guarantee first and the conditions, if it all goes pair shaped. You can but try.

Overall though. I'd pay a little bit more from someone you can be assured of and buy elsewhere. Its an investment you don't want potentially to go sour from day one and I would not want to take the risk.

Definitely weird. When I look at whois I get different information, but definitely weird. Site IP is 81.17.23.146 - Swiss. Owner has given a texas address, but a Malaysian phone number. Site was registered less than a month ago but already has an IP address change and 2 DNS server changes - currently Australian.

Yes very dodgy. There is a registered UK business name and address but this appears to belong to a small legitimate one man watch repair business. I suspect the details have just been cloned from the UK Companies House register
