a fast question (then, possibily, this evening will shoot and post some pics):
having the date wheel with first 9 numbers 90 degrees rotated is enough to be sure the watch is not a replica?

bnewbie, thanks for replying; couldn't one have replaced date disc of a replica with the original one?

Then, another question: is the slide rule and all the print on the dial slightly metallic instead of white color? Slightly gray? Or white paint?

It can be changed, but other fake signs remain.
It depends on the lighting.
If you are not sure, better post some photos.

sure, this evening ... shoot time, and then I'll post.
Actually I'm quite sure it's not a fake, but not having seen one so close, I never noticed that the bezel looks metallic, I always thougth it was completely white.
And then there is another strange thing: the date code on the case at 6 between the lugs is badly printed.
It seems that the machine sneezed while engraving... I mean, this one is neat and clean:

mine has numbers squashed and the "B" is stretched. can it be possibile?

It can be possible.
There was solid gold Navi (in some thread) with rough date code.

Some good pics will help. The quality fake of this model has many other telltales - bezel rim too thick, caseback too flat, etc
