Post subject:  Breitling B1 is it authentic?

Hello all, I recently acquired this B1 thru a private seller and have been questioning myself. I did some research in this model but I am in no means a watch or Breitling expert. I came across B1's being hard to be duplicated in a good quality and this watch looks amazing but what sparks my question is I cannot get the alarm to work (could be user error), all other functions and menu's work and exist according to the manual which was included. Also is a Black face model but when I look at it from an angle it seems lighter? I am some what paranoid, bracelet checks out with number 874A (correct for fighter) and is dated 4899 (48th week of 1999) which seems consistent. Thanks, in Advance.

Thank you sir, that is exactly what I thought. Is there the possibility that the alarm is broken? Or Am I just doing something wrong? Cant get noise out of the thing!
