I'm not so sure gents. The papers are the classic Crosswind Special fake set. Also, the dial close to the chapter ring near the date window has an odd break in it, the bracelet end links are all wrong, and the bracelet has friction pins vice screws. |

Bracelet is the pre 2000 881A. However i don't like the font of the 2 in the date window. (no serif) compared to the 2005 Chronolog. |

I can't say one way or the other as to fake as I am not an expert. But that break near the date window you mention is because it is the earlier smaller version. The newer larger one has room to keep the "railroad track" complete...pretty sure about this. Look at any of the original SFs and they should be that way, no? |

I was comparing to my 42mm GMT model which appears to have a slightly wider chapter ring such that the spacing between the edge of the date window is different. The fake papers threw me at first combined with the (as I learned in this thread) an old/incorrect endlink for the model. |

I thought the pins were weird given Breitling uses screws, but since it is an older model then I assume they have used pins on some of these and you guys who know more about it have seen it where as I've just not seen an older model. BUT The model in question Another  The fold over clasp looks different in itself and the actual pieces of metal are just rounded without any angled tone, which I assume is also a difference of perhaps this model versus other models with the Pro 1. But the logo is fat, off-centered horizontally and vertically, and the anchor looks like vomit...if that is an authentic Breitling bracelet, why does it look so bad? |

There is a fake box and papers kit sold through replica sites that consists of a inner and outer box, hang tag, blank COSC certificate and instruction booklet for a Crosswind Special. We therefore always suspect a watch sold with a CWS instruction book when the watch is a different model. |
