There's a very good Steelfish fake, so better photos would help, but it looks OK to me. |

As Roff said, need better photos to be sure. Ending of an "s" in "superocean" looks short to me. |

High quality fake: dial too dull bezel numbers & graduations too shallow bezel pearl too open hour markers & date window edges too rounded/radiused bracelet end links are flush with case lugs - should be slightly recessed i bet the caseback has very light etchings too |

Wish I could be so confident as 1952! I'm rarely able to decide with the SOSF. I don't have any tells to check, I just go on gut feel. I think this is a replica but I'm really not sure. The advise I always give is only ever buy if it comes with paperwork. If it doesn't, I'd wait for another one to come along. |

Damn, they did that well. The date ring is the most obvious giveaway and the logo looks a little to 'fat'. As far as font goes, they are very, very close. |

99% it is fake. The tail of the S is perfectly straight. That is one of the main tells. It should dip at the end. The top quality fakes are straight to the end. Lume looks uneven and puckered, but the tail of the S is enough for me. All the fakes have a straight tail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
