Hey Guys,

I am new to this world and was about to buy this from amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Breitling-A233512 ... 006H0G1A0/

However I just have a funny feeling about it. The main thing that concerns me is the picture of the back of the watch there is no engravings in the first links that can clearly be seen on Breitlings website. They also have this model, which is white and as far as I can see the Montbrillant 47 only comes in black and silver...

http://www.amazon.com/Breitling-A23351A ... 00857365Q/

The only other place I can see a white faced Montbrillant 47 is Jonashop which seems a bit sketchy.

So what do you guys think.... stay away?

It's a stock photo, but I would trust buying from there.

How do you guys explain that the white one on amazon has the exact model number as this one (silver and grey)

... I will buy the white one as the price is great, I just can't see a white one on any reputable site (including Breitlings) which worries me.

well, it is the nature of stock pics that they are used by multiple sites and on multiple listings, so no surprise at all they have the same serial numbers ?

The reason is that Breitling call their white dial watches silver! Always have, no idea why!

As for the pics, although the hands are set at 10 past 10, the dates are not set as the 12th so these are not Breitling stock photos.

I wouldn't have any fears buying from Amazon but it's always worth checking what the site sponsors can offer.

Only issue with Amazon is the same as any other grey market site - no factory warranty.

so it sounds like it should be 'safe' to buy from Amazon (as I would hope), I don't think I will risk buying the 'white' one though as it cleary looks to be white/black, in the catalogue the 'black' is more of a titanium color that I much prefer. thanks all!

Except that you have no factory warranty - that wouldn't leave me feeling 'safe'.
