Hey Gang,

I have a question..................How do you really know a watch is authentic if buying online or out of the country? Is the watch having matching papers enough or are there fake papers as well? I have been in the market but I dont have an AD near and would like to find a Breitling in good shape but I dont want to get stuck!

Papers can be faked, but it happens very rarely.
You need experience in how the models really look and knowing certain flaws on certain models.

As BN says, it's experience. You get to know what to look out for. Even on the best replicas, there are flaws.

Apart from posting pics/links here, the usual rule is "Buy the seller, then buy the watch".

Lots of macro pics, full set of paperwork, high feedback gives confidence.

Blurry camera phone pic, no paperwork, low feedback is a good reason to steer clear.

And there is no such thing as an online AD. Online sellers are grey market.

I live in Myrtle Beach SC, There are not any AD's anywhere near me.

The dealers online here and on other forums are a good place to start. I've done business with a few sponsors here and the experience has been fantastic from start to finish.
