The Breitling Watch Source Forums

I met with a gentleman this morning regarding the purchase of his watch. The watch looked good and he had the inner and outer boxes, no manuals or warranty card. The only paper work he had was the COSC, but the serial number was written in pen in the box that normally has the serial number. I figure the watch is about 8-10 years old. Would Breitling ever hand write the serial number in on a COSC certificate?
