Sorry about the pictures, best I could do. Anyone got any idea if this is genuine, and if so, possible value?

Definite (and poor) fake. The 1111 Serial number is always a give away.

It's on e-bay "found in a jacket"... royle1941, 100%, Feedback of 1107

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123

I've already reported this to e-bay, and thought I'd sent a polite note to the seller...

His response: "thanks for letting me know but i had no intention of letting people think it was something it wasnt,i just listed it as a watch i found,i had no idea what it was,i answered questions about it as honestly as i could as you well know"

So to follow up, I've told him "It's not that you're trying to hide anything - but I know from experience, if someone buys this, and then discovers it's a fake, it gets recorded on your record, and will mess up your Feedback score (and possibly lead to restrictions on your account). E-bay don't care whether you know it's genuine or not - selling replica watches is against their rules, and they come down hard on sellers who get reported.

Just trying to help, but there are lots of specialist watch sites who look out for fakes being sold, and report to e-bay."

If the seller is stupid enough to list this POS, and risk his reputation and Feedback, then he deserves everything he gets.

So let's get this removed!!!

To be fair, he wasn't selling it as a Breitling and I don't think he knew what the hell it was. I too have had some discussion with him off-board and I believe him when he says it's a genuine mistake. I agree also that this has no place on eBay or indeed any other board, but let's cut him a little slack, eh? I'm pretty sure he won't make the same mistake again.

Really? He posts a pic of a watch that says "BREITLING" on it and with the wings logo and in this description talks about how the strap says BREITLING. You don't have to say "Breitling Watch" in the description to give the clear impression you are selling a Breitling. But worse, a member here politely points out to seller it is a fake and against Ebay policy and he responds by basically saying he hasn't claimed in private inquiries it is genuine and then doesn't remove the listing.

He was cut plenty of slack.
