Lately I've taken an interest in finding replicas, and have caught quite a few, but the differences are obvious. I spent quite a bit of time today looking at a store online which sells replicas to try and get an idea of what to look for. Some of the replicas look incredibly similar to the real thing, the only difference I noticed is with the date. The majority have issues with the date, so how come the replica makers don't use the correct date font and not have the date sunk? I'm curious what is so complex about doing that? Also, if they did that, how would that affect the ability to spot fakes? I was even surprised to see a fake colt! |

Also most replica sites I have seen use pictures of genuine Breitlings its just not the same watch you will receive.I think theyre explanation about what you receive is it looks just LIKE the genuine,so they dont worry about details like date wheel. |

Quote: how come the replica makers don't use the correct date font and not have the date sunk? Most replicas used to use a generic date wheel irrespective of the brand. That is changing on newer, more accurate replicas. The sunken date wheel is predominantly on the 3-6-9 layout where an extra series of cogs is needed to move the 30min chrono sub-dial from 12 to 3, thus making the date wheel lower against the dial.

I went on YouTube to look for videos of some Bentley models. I was shocked by how similar that fakes were. Almost 90% of the vids were about fake watches and they looked 1:1, makes me scared about buying used now. |

There are some I would suggest never buying from anywhere like eBay without full B's and P's. |
