pretty sure a fake. The model # - B13689 - is used on many fakes. The configuration of the subdials is wrong for a caliber 13. I have many more negative comments but will refrain as I would look particularly silly if this turns out to be some off-model I've never seen. |

You are quite safe in your assessment, Tom, I think. definitely not a Cal. 13 and definitely not a "Navitimer", as the dial says, Breitling called the strangest watches "Navitimer" in the early days of the new Breitling, but a Chronomat ? looks like a cheap Quartz fake, but I too have been wrong with pieces from that period .... |

Fake. As said, the subdial layout is incorrect for a ref x13xxx model. |

I believe it's real, early 80s quartz (note the caseback). At that time 7750 wasn't B13 yet. Might be wrong, but gut feeling says real. |

I think that it's real too - it's too accurately built for a fake this early - rider tabs, caseback, etc. Can't say that I have ever seen one before, but think that it's correct. |

I think its a fake Chrono Sextant? The bezel is poor quality - looks like its been cast/forged rather than machined. If real, the caseback differs from the rest of the watch. Breitling didn't start using ref numbers in that format until circa 1990. Given the Wings logo and Navitimer naming it would have been produced in a small window between 1984 and 1986. |

It's not in the 85 catalogue. Logic says fake for all of the reasons that you have stated, but it's unlike anything fake of this era, very odd. The model number has been used on a number of different fakes, but never seen one like this. |

I've seen just one bad fake with that ref# and believe that it was used from this genuine watch. Still think it's real. |

Got nowhere researching this. Could it be a unique factory prototype/development piece for the Chrono Sirius? For info, hand set looks to be from a Chrono Shark Quartz. |
