Hi,

First time poster.
Been looking for my first breitling and fell in love with this, no box, no papers but it has really caught my eye!
I'm pretty confident it's real, I just need confirmation.
So no box or papers, but 18ct gold etc, seller looking for $2000USD, should I snap there hand off or try and knock them down?

Thanks

It's real from the late 90s. Pricing advice in the FAQs is to check completed sales on eBay and Chrono24, bearing in mind that those are dealer asking prices. Plenty of comparables for this model.

No harm in offering less. If they say "No", you can still go up to their asking price.

There have been a few other models a bit higher up on priority list in the recent months that I have been working on but the mid 90's two tone Chronomat with this blue dial is definitely there on my shopping list. I think the SS and gold mid 90's Chronomat with the blue dial is the best looking chronomat Breitling ever made.
I would be perfectly happy to pay $2K for one in good mechanical order. Either this one with the gold bezel or even the one with the SS bezel and gold plated tabs, pushers and crown. For me however it wouold have to be on on the Pilot bracelet.
If you are happy with this bracelet which I can not remember how to spell off the top of my head :-) AND you are sure that the watch is in good condition mechanically or it has had a fairly recent full service than I woyld say it is a fair price, in my opinion at least.

For my and Davieg9 benefit, to all the gurus on this forum, as this is quite an old but lovely model, please feel free to add any "what to watch out for" comments.

Thanks and regards.

wessa.

Maybe a stupid question. Which one is more expensive bullet or all SS pilot?

The all steel Pilot cost $350 more than the Roulleax in 1998.
