Post subject:  dear fellow posters in the Replica Identification section !

It is great to have as many people as possible follow the market and try to find replicas, frankens and ridiculous fakes; we succeed in getting rid of most of them by our combined efforts.

PLEASE !

- when you post a thread about a watch you think is fake, try to add a picture of the watch !
Not only does this build a database of fakes from the highest quality replicas to the most pathetic junk, when a watch is removed by ebay and relisted by the seller, this is the only way for us to identify a watch when reporting the relisting.

- when a watch is removed by ebay or the seller ends the listing, please mark those threads as "gone" or "ended", for those of us that follow this section regularly this makes life a lot easier when we know which watch might need re-reporting. otherwise these threads just drown in newer threads and watches might be sold without anybody noticing, you will find that most frequent posters even mark watches as "sold" so we can redouble our efforts to have them removed.

only you, the OP can edit the OP title; well Admin could, but he has much more important things to do than make our life a little easier and ebay a safer place for Breitling buyers.

Thank you !

edit: if you find it cumbersome to post pics, that is easy to do for others, but please rename the posting header ?

100% agree Fred but would stress I'd never want anyone hesitating to post a link because they couldn't post a pic.

Sharkmouth, absolute agree, nothing and nobody should ever keep members from asking
about watches they are doubtful about !

But grabbing pics is actually quite easy, though the question does pop up from time to time;
especially the ebay pics (or autavia etc.) are sometimes not so easy to save.

I have posted a short how-to in the Watch Gallery section here:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453&p=221836#p280547

This describes the tools I am using and found quite satisfactory, maybe this helps ?

Happy hunting, be it for fakes or grails !

:lingsrock: well, vintage Bs, primarily

I'll try it, was too much of a hassle to post pics, but will try what you wrote.

the "hassle" to post pics takes about 10 seconds per posting; but, as I wrote, pics are the minor issue, Roff, ade113
and I can do that for you, but changing the headers to "ended" or "sold" ?
