I read the articles on how to spot a fake and things looked good until I opened it up and seen the compass  I didn't buy this a customer got it in trade and was looking to trade it to me. If there's a compass on an emergency wannabe its certainly fake if it was real and you opened it up it would cost you a lot of $$$$'s |

If you extend the antenna thus activating it then it cost you a lot of money right? Just opening the cap doesn't activate the ELT correct? |

do not worry, the watch you have in hand is fake, it will not send out an emergency signal, whatever you pull out. |

I figured it was fake as there where no warnings anywhere so I wasn't worried about opening it I just found this forum researching how to tell it was fake so I could be 100% sure when I tell my buddy he got hosed

I think it is hysterical the Chinese went to the trouble of putting a compass in there.
