I noticed this auction and was almost certain it was fake, but didn't expect any serious bidders due to the bad pictures.
Alas, somebody paid $890 for it, and the buyer apparently received an empty box.

I've spoke to the buyer and he his trying to get a case dispute resolved.

Can we establish it is a fake and report it post sale? I'm thinking of the lines that its a fake because it is a Chronomat/Caliber B13 model and no such models are know to have an exhibition caseback.
What do you guys think?

I agree that it's fake, but for a different reason that the DB. There were some country specific DBs issued, but the rotor seems to be 'framed' rather than a solid piece which is wrong for Breitling. That said, I can't honestly be 100% sure from those photos so can't report.

Why anyone would spend $890 on the basis of those photos is beyond me.

My thoughts exactly Roff. I just got a message from the buyer and Ebay have resolved the case in his favour, so another happy ending. :cheer:
