+1 - "Case, hands, subdials, dial layout, crown, date font, wrong. Watch has pushers, but no chronograph." |

seller ajks_ac is worth remembering. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and contacted him with the "tells" that prove this was junk, got a reply "thanking me for my opinion". Have a look at the phony Q&A, trying to educate the market: Q: Hi - do you have anymore info please that would help me determine if this is a genuine Breitling watch (which I think it may well be)? Thanks for your help. 15-Jan-12 A: Hello thanks for the interest. I have several tests and indicators which tell me that it is a genuine. 1. The watch is very heavy. Breitlings are of superb quality and are always very heavy. 2. The strap has "1884" and "Breitling" engraved into it. (I was told by a Breitling expert that this is a sign of a genuine Breitling, Thanks Colin!) 3. When the dial has a torch shone onto it in the dark it retains it illumination for a period of time which is another sign. 4. The movement is now working and it ticking is the traditional Breitling way. 5. The date is right by the edge of the dial and generally with a fake it is more into the centre. 6. The dial has a smooth surface whereas on a fake there is normally a downwards bump where the sub-dials go. Hope this helps! |
