I was give a Breitling watch which my dad purchased at pawn shop and
is not running. Before I invest money in repairing it I would like to know
if it's real. It has a serial no. 45897, the face has the 3 separate indicators.
and the minute indicator around the watch can be rotated to indicate time
laps i assume. The face of the watch has:
1. Day of the week indicator with a hand.
2. Day of the month indicator with a hand.
3. Hour of the day indicator with a hand

The hour hand looks to have a symbol similar to a Mercedes Emblem and
has a pail green inlay with gold edging. The minute hand is about .05 wide
and also has a pail green inlay with gold edging. The second hand has a
circle about 2/3 down the length of the hand and is about .08 dia. with
a pail green inlay. The Second hand moves freely. It has a single winding
knob and the strap is brown & stamped genuine leather. The Case is Silver
or Stainless with Gold plating. The back has the Breitling stamp with the
serial no. and is also stamped Swiss.

I would appreciate if someone would let me know. I really would like to find
out if its authentic so I can repair its and ware it proudly.

thanks

Hi,

Your going to have to upload some photos of the watch for the pros on here to answer your question. Also there's a section for fake IDs which I'm sure this will be moved too very soon.

My heart is telling me the watch is fake though as 99.9% of these "bought from pawn shop" or "found on sidewalk" posts turn out to be. Sorry

Pics would be needed, although based on your description, im about 99% sure youve got a fake.

Agreed. No pics necessary, and yes the watch is a fake.

Moved to the Replica section accordingly!
