Interesting. Saw several of these too good to be true offers from Lithuania in the summer, asked one for a closeup of the papers and serial numbers and just got a pic of a totally different watch than offered ....

Well the watch is real, but there are a couple of things off on the paperwork - the serial number has he LE number, which I guess is possible, but a 2009 sale date on this watch??? I highly doubt that there were unsold Le Mans in 2009.

Isn't one of the known signs of a fake the price being too good to be true?

Of course, but this watch isn't fake.

I am sure that there is some scam going on, but the watch is categorically NOT fake.

I think you are right Fred. I strongly suspect that this is a reincarnation of this:

The original Ebay seller, mergaiciuke257, is no longer registered. And I can't find any details of the original Chrono24 listing.

Edit: Gone :guns: :guns:

as Roff said, the watch in the pictures is definitely authentic, but this falls among the deals that are too good to be true; a very rare, valuable watch, offered at a fraction of market value. reported it as fraudulent, might have helped.
