I don't usually buy from Ebay but I saw this watch which is like the one my dad had. I've put the cart before the horse and bid on the item before asking the good people of Breitling Source to check it out first. I guess the heart wants what the heart wants (vomit).

Should I be worried or am I good to go?

Cheers all!!

Well I won the watch :boingb:

Looking forward to getting it. I contacted the company who service my watches to get a price on the 372D bracelet. They've quoted me $1750 AUD which I think is pretty reasonable. What do you think?

I told the guy who owns the watch that it was going to a good home. He was stoked about that... he said it was his first 'fancy' watch. His parents bought it for him and it had served him well for many years.

Well, the watch arrived today and it's just made my day. She's an old girl (15yo), and nothing special in terms of a collectors item... but she's in great nik' and has bought back a lot of nostalgic memories. :lingsrock:

AAHHHH ok... So remember how I was thinking of getting a two tone bracelet for my watch. I was initially quoted AUD1750.00 which sounded more off the cuff... He's since come back to me and said "Opps, I've checked with Breitling and the bracelet is in fact going to be AUD4110... It will be a swiss order and will take about 8 weeks."

Someone please talk some sense into me because Im about to order the bracelet. I could just buy a brand new watch all together but this watch is the watch I wanted :whiner:

what to do what to do...

That price is stoopid for a pilot bracelet.

Contact Govbergs in PA - they'll ship to you in Australia.

Thanks for that!! It's the first time I've had to buy a bracelet on it's own, so to save myself the grief of buying one that arrives as a replica... I thought I better go straight to the source, and let them rip me off lol.

I look Govbergs up now.
