I am new to the form and could use some assistance – sorry for my “watch” ignorance. My Dad passed away and I am just getting to his coin, stamp and watch collections. From what I have read I think one of his watches is a Bentley 6.75 18kt white gold limited edition of 50 pieces. The watch item number appears to be J4436212/F520 with the 18kt Speed bracelet. He has it in the original boxes with all the paperwork and appears that it has never been worn – I never saw him wear it. I have not been able to find a picture of the exact watch so I am posting pictures to see if anybody can validate if it is authentic. Any feedback is appreciated ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sorry to hear about your dad. The watch looks real, but the paperwork confuses me. It looks like the serial number on the COSC certificate (the piece of paper) seems to be different to what's on the watch. Not the easiest to read but the ceritifcate seems to start 21 and the watch starts 201. There should also be a limited edition certificate if this is an LE, which would make sense if it's gold. Is there a limited edition number on the back of the watch? |

Well, it looks like my Dad had two differant Bentley watches and put them in the wrong boxes. The watch in the picture does not have a certificate with it - I might need to look thru his other watch boxes. This is what is inscribed: On watch 32/50 J44362 2016415 On watch band 750 18K Manufacture en Suisse Is the J44362 a limited edition number? thank you |

![]() The watch pictured is a white gold Bentley 6.75 Chronograph, #32 of a limited edition of 50 as indicated by the 32/50. It was made in 2006 to celebrate the hand-assembled 6.75 litre Bentley Arnage Limousine engine. The short model reference J44362 on the case back indicates the watch is made of 18k white gold (J) has a Breitling 44 movement (44), is COSC certified (3) and is a Breitling for Bentley 6.75 (62). 2016415 is the serial number of the watch. Whilst I have no doubts as to the authenticity of the watch pictured, the serial number on the case back should match the serial in the Warranty book and on the COSC certificate. As Roff says, the numbers do not match so you should have a good look for the right paperwork. The value of the watch will be greatly affected if the paperwork is missing. The full model reference J4436212/F520, which I assume is in the Warranty book, adds that the case has a polished finish (12) and has a slate dial (F) with the design ref 520. Last list price (2009) was US$47,350 on the 18k Speed bracelet (which should have "970J" marked on it). A J44362 on a leather strap was sold by Antiquorum last December for US$13,750. 2009 price would have been US$25,430 which shows what the bracelet is worth! ![]() Hope this helps! |

Thank you for all the information. I talked to My mom and she wants me to sell my Dads watches - he has more at home so I will go thru all of his boxes and see if I can find the certificates and match them up. |

I have looked thru all of his other watch boxes and cannot find the certificate. Is it possible to get it recertified? What would be the best way to sell it? He also has a SS (with all the paperwork!) that my mom has asked me to sell too. His other “Stuff” – my dad was a passionate stamp collector since he was eight. He was in the military and we traveled around a lot when I was younger so he has a very large collection (probably over 200,000) of US and international stamps all meticulously catalogued. |

The COSC certificate can be reissued by Breitling - contact a local AD and they can arrange it. The warranty cannot be replaced, and I don't believe that Breitling will reissue the LE certificate either. In terms of selling, this is a limited market piece so eBay is probably your best bet. The big auction houses will give it exposure, but will charge a fortune in commissions. |
