Bought this clasp off eBay. Its been sandblasted so it was pretty cheap (£80 with strap - which is very small but I have very small wrists) instead of £180 - normal going rate.

Anyway, just thought I'd make sure its all okay with you guys, I know its difficult to tell with clasps if its genuine.

Next question will be how to polish it back up, but I'll leave that for general chat.

Thanks,

MIC

Not the greatest photos but it looks a bit iffy to me.

Compare yours with sharkman's photos here - viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31873 that should help.

Thanks, I have contacted the seller.

I compared it to Sharkmans pictures and it does indeed to look similar to the pictures in the OP and not SMs.

Cheers,

MiC

Yes, I'm afraid it is not genuine. The hinges are not shaped correctly and the extension of the push button on one side is not right.

Just so everyone is aware, the seller is refunding me, but says it was bought from a dealer on eBay named 'watchcorp2009'. I had a look and he is selling the strap/clasp combo @ £185.

The seller who sold it to me is taking the strap to a AD to get written confirmation and will take it up with watchcorp2009.

Thanks guys, as always.

Just returned from my local AD and bought a genuine one direct from them. :lingsrock:
