Why is it that UK Ebay in particular has an exorbitant amount of fakes compared to the US version?

It may be because one of the most proactive Ebay fake spotters is based in the the UK :lol:

Per capita the fakes should be split 80%-20% between US and UK respectively. But yes, anecdotally, it feels the UK has a higher proportion.

A lot od the European fakes also have the eBay UK listing posted here for reporting purposes to make it easier to report for those of us who have English as a first language. WatchFred finds a lot on eBay Germany but provides the UK eBay link for that reason.

One reason is a lot of UK holidaymakers visit mediterranean countries where cheap replicas are on every street corner. Much harder to find fakes outside of Canal Street in USA.
