Howdy all, FNG here. Always wanted a Ling and now have started looking. Found this interesting specimen but I'm about convinced it's fake -- no serial numbers or other identifying info on the back, partial display back, no numbers on band (though it may not be OEM). However, based on my admittedly-novice eye, and using info from this and other forums, the elements of the face do look legit. But the back tends to sink it for me. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!

It's a very cheap fake.

Thanks Roff. What are the tipoffs? BTW, someone is currently bidding $300 on it (and that someone is not me).

Yes fake. Be very suspicious of Breiltings with exposed 'exhibition' casebacks. Breitling don't generally use them except for a very few limited editions. Also chronographs that have subdials marked for a perpetual calendar function are a big giveaway, such as the left sub here marked to 7 (for days of the week) is wrong.

Where is it listed?

That sub did look off. Also haven't seen a phase on one with just three subs. What was it purporting to be? Or is it just a FrankenLing?

Yes like many poor quality fakes it doesn't look like any particular model but contains elements of several different models.
