Post subject:  IS MY WATCH FAKE (PICS ADDED)?

hey, I just recently bought a Breitling Superocean ii from online (ebay). Which method and how can I verify that my watch is authentic and real? Should I go to an AD and ask them for an appraisal? Maybe pawn shop? What questions should I ask, because I feel if I asked an owner, "is my watch real?", he would think i'm an idiot.

Hi,
Post some clear pics of the watch here and we might be able to authenticate it for you

Cheers,
Adrian

I ordered it, and it should arrive by either Saturday/Monday. I will definitely post photos. Thanks for the reply.

If its a recent Ebay purchase, you could post the link to the listing here.

If so, that's the fourth separate posting about the authentication of this watch! Are we being trolled?

Sorry for the continuous post. It's just that this is my first entry watch, and I feel very skeptical about buying it online. But my original question was to see how can I verify if my watch is authenticate, just in case the seller sends a different replica watch different from the photos?

I haven't seen any replicas of them. Maybe others have but even when I was in Shanghai in April, I didn't see any. So I'd be surprised. If you get all the paperwork and it matches the serial number, you're likely in good shape. But if you need to feel 100% certain, I think your best bet is to bring it to an AD to get it verified if it will make you feel better. And while you're there, pick up another strap or bracelet. It looks completely
different depending whether it's on one or the other.

Enjoy it.

We've told you (twice) that the watch on eBay is real, and we've also told you that there are no good replicas of this watch yet. If the watch that you get looks like the one in the listing and the serial numbers match then it's real.

I thought it was fine, but after researching, they're some replicas out there of the Breitling Superocean Abyss.
Here's a link for a $300 one.
Linkj to replica site removed by Roff.

Yes this one is fake as the lume dots are poor and the date wheel looks sunken. Yours comes with the correct box and paperwork so relax.

Best edit your last post and remove the link to the replica site or you will incur the wroth of the Roff.

Or event the wrath of Roff!

The watch that you linked to was a poor copy, but bluntly I don't know what will make you feel comfortable.

This site has one of the best reputations for identifying fakes and we've told you over and over that the watch is real. If you aren't comfortable then maybe you should have just bought from an AD!

Added pictures. This is my last time asking this. Sorry for the inconvenience. But can you verify this is the same watch on the listing (i worried the seller might have sent me a different/fake watch). I'll be happy to upload any photos from certain angles.

How can you verify by the looking at the outside if this Breitling is authentic? What separates it from the replicas? I did read the article, but are there any other ways to tell?

your watch came with documents.
do the numbers match ?
if they do: please stop worrying.
if they do not: open a paypal case, return the watch, get your money back, go to an AD and never ever think about buying through ebay again.
