Hi,

What would you say about this montbrillant in photo - is it genuine looking?
Chrome subdials and bold bazel imprint looks suspicious to me...

It's not on sale, just photo from internet - trying to educate myself
Tnx!

Fake. Yes you were right that the bezel sliderule scale isn't crisp enough. The subdial marks are wrong for a Montbrilliant 1461 Jours. But the real telltale is the looped B on the end of the seconds hand, regardless that the real model had a plain sec hand, the shape of the B is wrong

Markings aside, what about the chrome subdials? Any Breitling I've ever seen with shiny metallic subs has been fake.

Yeah, true. Very shiny subs is one of the biggest giveaways for cheap fakes. In a watch like this there are a lot of thinks wrong, so we all pick up on different thing from 1st glance.

I think the TAG-Heuer is real. If not, it is a very good copy

Did TAG use the Mercedes hands? What a Rolex rip.

Anybody can identify brand/model for the one in background?
Yes, I know it's a bit out of focus in that part.. :?

Yeap TAG-Heuer did use hour hands like that in the 1990s. I'm assuming that the TAG is real as its from era when, like Breitlings, the replicas were rubbish looking.
Not sure what that watch in the background is though
