Hi All,

I'm in the process of purchasing a colt auto II on ebay. As far as I can tell from the photos, it appears real. I've exchanged a few messages with the seller, and he assures me that it's real, was purchased in 2008, serviced within the last year by Breitling, he has paperwork, and the serial numbers all match. So in theory, that all sounds good.

But, I'd sure appreciate a second set of eyes on the photos, especially from such seasoned fake hunters!

What do you all think?

Well some of those are stock photos, however the ones that look like the watch you just bought I looks fine too me.

Yes the first two are stock pics of a genuine Colt II Auto. The remaining are also pics of a genuine Colt II Auto. :real:

Yeah, agreed, those stock photos were a bit of a yellow flag to me, and one reason I'm cautious.

I'm also having a hard time seeing the serial number on the caseback in the photo that shows the back, but not sure if it's just an angle / light issue. This prompted me to confirm via message about all the serial numbers being intact, which he says they are.

Thanks for looking!

from what I saw the serial numbers look fine..Ican't see them back I can tell the case back is in good condition. I ALWAYS prefer to ask for the real pictures of the watch getting sold before buying..of the case with serial and dial, and both sides. Of course that's personal to my way of buying, I just don't buy if the person cannot provide these for me.

As has been said, watch is real, but I would want to know why a watch that's only three years old needed a service a year ago.

Yes! Good suggestions from all. That's exactly why I love this forum so much, and why I'm learning so much from being here.

I've sent the seller an email asking for more info, and more pics. Hope to hear back shortly.

Thanks again for the help! :D
