Welcome to the site.
As you suspect, the watch is indeed a replica.

Dear br549,

Is it the calendar window that's the giveaway on this one? - always struggle with the B4B's...

Cheers
Mike

Date font is wrong, but look at the subdials - that's the most obvious giveaway.

Dear friends thank you for your replies, apart from the sub-dials, are there any other clues?

Thank you all for your replies, any idea how much this costs?

It's probably sold for $50 or so and is worth far, far less.

On the Motors my first glance is always at the numbers that lie just below the 6:00 subdial. On the majority of the fakes the subdial will not obscure these numbers as they will on a genuine. If that's wrong, then you've got it. However there is a better fake out there of the Motors that doesn't have that flaw but in that case the subdials are wrong too. Roff has pointed out some errors so check those and also I usually look at the slide rule ticks as well. Make sure they go all the way to the bottom and make sure there's not too much white space above the numbers on the slide rule as well.

Didn't realise there were quite so many tells. When you put the 2 images together, the differences do jump out at you. Thanks to you and Roff - - invaluable info, duly noted.

I have uploaded one more photo with a detail of the watch which i think there is one more proof. The "30 seconds chronograph" phrase is printed squeezed, with no air to breathe over and under it... as a graphic designer i can tell that this would never be the case in a good product design and especially in such an expensive product. It is a rule in graphic design and aesthetics not to squeeze phrases.

Here's a side by side I did of other fake Motors which highlights the main differences to look for if the sub-dials are correct.
